Originally trained as a Primary School teacher, I think massage has always been in my blood, as my mum had her own Aromatherapy Massage Practice for many years.
I decided to follow my dream and completed a Swedish massage course at Kendal College in 2008. I then went on to train in Sports Massage, also at Kendal College.
By then I had the bug and a thirst for more knowledge & techniques. This led me further afield, all the way to Brighton, where I completed my Certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage with the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage.
and have since completed a series of courses in direct and indirect myofascial techniques, Hot Stones, Pregnancy Massage, a year long Advanced Musculoskeletal Anatomy Course and Orthopaedic Assessment for massage therapists. More recently I have begun training to become a Craniosacral Therapist and have completed CST1 and 2 with The Upledger Uk Institute. I am also a Neal's Yard Consultant and The Body Clinic stocks a selection of their organic, ethical health and beauty products. To see what is available go to uk.nyrorganic.com/shop/lizleech
If you come to see me because you are in pain, I will carry out a full assessment including range of motion tests and I aim to get you out of pain in 1-6 weekly treatments. Your body is like a car, although you expect it to last much longer, it needs regular maintenance so I advise monthly treatments to keep you in good shape.
